Yay the big day is finally here! Austin's birthday party was on Saturday so that the 3 of us could spend his actual birthday together. We went to Uncle Julio's (just like his momma, Austin LOVES mexican food), and then to the park for his 12 month pictures. It was a perfect and relaxing day. I was very emotional about him turning 1 and remembering the day he was born.
Austin weighs 23.8 lbs (70%), and is 30.5 inches long (75%). He has nearly tripled his weight from birth (8lb 9oz), and then he was 21.25 inches.
So obviously from these pictures, we have a little walker on our hands! He's been taking steps since he was 10 1/2 months old, and even initiated them a few times. About a week ago, he just took off and hasn't stopped walking since.
Austin got his 5th tooth (bottom left) last Wednesday. He is repeating words like crazy, and loves to say "Momma" and "Daddy" more than anything. He makes the "vvroom" noise when he sees cars and motorcycles. Cars are his absolute favorite to play with, and he is still crazy of opening and closing anything he can. This weekend Austin went swimming and ate scrambled eggs for the first time. We still haven't found anything he doesn't like to eat (including lemons), and we are about to start the switch over to whole milk.
We are so crazy in love with this kid. He has made being a parent so unbelieveably easy. I'm so lucky and proud to be his Mommy. The only thing better than this will be when he has brothers & sisters (and no, not for a while).
