Lila 5 months old

Today my sweet little Lila turned 5 months old.  I forgot to add at 3 months that she was wearing size 3 months clothes and size 1 diapers.  Right at 4 months, she started in size 2 diapers and slowly into size 6 months clothes.  Her 4 month well check put her at 13 lbs and 24.5 inches long.

Today she is well into 6 months clothes and size 2 diapers are starting to get a little snug.  We started feeding her whole grain rice cereal at 4 months, and have yet to introduce any other foods.  But we will soon, probably this week.  I have some sweet potatoes ready to go.

Everything is going straight to Lilas mouth.  She loves her wubanubs, and sucking on her pointer and middle finger, usually from the right hand.  Her right eye has been gunky since she was born, a result of a clogged tear duct.  Doc says they can open it up at 6 months if it's not improved by then, but it seems to be getting better.  Let's hope so.  She's sleeping great at night.  No changes from the last month update.  Naps are usually good, about 1 1/2 hours or so.  Still nursing and pumping when I'm away from her.  It's going pretty well so no plans to change any time soon.  My goal was to get to 6 months, but unless it becomes stressful, we'll probably keep going.

Austin and Travis sure love their little sister.  TJ is always loving on her and trying to hold her hand.  I just looked back at both of their 5 month pictures, and she definitely resembles Travis.  I think she looks like him, but has more O'Sullivan in her.  Her crazy hair has turned much lighter and has a reddish tint to it.  Her big bright eyes are still so blue.  I hope they stay that way!  She is pretty calm and content when her belly is full and she's not tired.  She loves to play in the bouncy seat and jungle gym with her toys.  She rolls over from front to back, both ways, pretty easily.  She's rolled from back to front once (yesterday, but did so without any effort.  She likes to sleep on her left side.  Still in the pack n play at night.  She has fit perfectly into our little family, and we just love her to pieces!  So thankful to God for blessing us with this wonderful little girl!!
